Clark County Release Feed Status
No official Clark County or Meade County rolling 24-hour release list was verified in the county research. Clark County's official jail page says people taken into custody are transported to Meade County Jail. Meade's online inmate-search route opens Kansas VINE instead of a roster or recent-release table. Neither source publishes a complete list of everyone who left custody today.
That absence matters. There is no official feed URL, update cycle, photo field, archive, or retention period to describe. Results from a different Clark County, including counties in other states, are not a substitute. Commercial pages that describe an active Ashland jail also conflict with Clark County's current account of its operations.
Check Clark County Releases Today
The fastest sound method follows the custody path. Have the full booked name, an approximate arrest date, and a case or incident number if known. Do not begin with KASPER unless a state-prison transfer is plausible. Many short county-jail stays never enter the Kansas Department of Corrections system.
- Call the Clark County Sheriff's Office at 620-635-2802. Ask which jail physically booked the person and whether any transfer occurred.
- Call Meade County Jail at 620-873-8765 when it was the custodian. Ask for the booking number, exact release time, disposition, and receiving agency or destination field.
- If Clark identifies overflow, contact Ford County Jail or the named contract jail. The physical holder controls its discharge entry.
- Search the person through VINELink Release Check. Treat a VINE event as a prompt to confirm, not as a certified record.
- Read the Clark County court docket and obtain the bond, release, dismissal, sentencing, or commitment order that explains the jail event.
For a broader time span, compare the Released Last 72 Hours process. For a named person whose custody path is unclear, the full search sequence on Clark County released inmates adds state, federal, immigration, and supervision routes.
Clark County Release Fields
Since no public 24-hour table exists, the useful fields below form a request inventory. They describe what to ask the physical jail for, not a promise that each item is public or kept in one database.
| Field to request | What it can establish |
|---|---|
| Booked name and booking number | Links the result to the correct custody episode rather than an older case. |
| Release date and exact time | Shows when the jail recorded or processed the departure; ask which event the timestamp represents. |
| Release authority | Identifies the court order, bond action, sentence completion, or other lawful basis. |
| Disposition code and definition | Distinguishes community release from transfer, medical movement, or another status. |
| Destination or receiving agency | Shows whether custody continued with KDOC, another jail, USMS, or ICE. |
| Court or case number | Connects the jail entry to the Clark County case and its signed orders. |
Ask whether the recorded time is the data-entry time or the moment of physical departure. Bond posting, judicial action, transport, and computer updates may occur at different times. That detail is vital when the question is whether someone left within the last 24 hours.
Meade Routes Releases Through VINE
Meade County's official Inmate Search page supplies VINE rather than a roster. This is Clark County's distinctive same-day data issue: the online route is built for a one-person custody check and notice registration, not for browsing a full release population. VINE can report a custody change sent by a participating county jail. It is not a historical 24-hour archive.
The Meade page itself is useful proof of the correct route. It does not create a release feed merely because it uses the words “Inmate Search.”

After finding a matched VINE record, save the event details and call the jail. Disappearance alone can reflect transfer, spelling differences, delayed reporting, or a record lifecycle change. It cannot show why custody ended.
Read Clark County Release Reasons
A release reason must be read literally. Bond, cash bond, surety, or own recognizance means the person left detention while the case may remain active. A court order may apply to one case while another hold remains. Time served or sentence complete means the jail treated its own custodial duty as satisfied, but another case, supervision term, or agency may still be involved.
- Community release
- The person leaves that jail without an identified transfer to another custodian.
- Transfer
- One agency stops holding the person because another agency takes custody.
- Discharge
- An end point in a sentence or supervision obligation, not merely a jail-door departure.
- Detainer
- A request or legal basis for another authority to take or continue custody.
A movement to KDOC is a state-prison transfer, not release into the community. A transfer to another county, USMS, or ICE also continues custody in a different system. The receiving-agency field and signed court entry prevent these events from being flattened into the same word.
Confirm Clark County Releases
The jail entry answers when and how the physical custodian stopped holding the person. The court record explains the legal action. Search the Kansas District Court Public Access Portal for the Clark County case, then review bond orders, journal entries, dismissal entries, sentences, warrants, and commitments. An active case can remain after a lawful bond release.
For durable proof, request the signed order or certified record from the Clark County District Court clerk. A VINE notification can corroborate the custody event, but it cannot show that charges were dismissed or every sentence ended. If the jail says the person went to KDOC, use KASPER and quote each displayed status or date label exactly.
Sequence matters on the day of release. A judge may sign an order before jail staff receive it, staff may clear separate holds before departure, and the court portal may post the entry after the person has left. Compare the order time, jail departure time, and system access time instead of forcing them into one timestamp. When they differ, ask each custodian what its field records.
Note: Preserve the search date, spelling, agency, and reported time before a same-day system changes.
Request Clark County Release Records
When Meade booked and held the person, use its open-records request form. Identify the Sheriff's department and the custody episode. Ask for the booking number, release date and time, stored disposition, destination or receiving agency, and any code definitions. Send the request to Meade County Sheriff, 223 N. Meade Center, P.O. Box 487, Meade, KS 67864. Call 620-873-8765 to confirm delivery.
Kansas Open Records Act procedures allow actual-cost fees and advance payment. If access is not immediate, K.S.A. 45-218(d) calls for an explanation of the delay and the earliest time and place for access within three business days. That is a response rule, not a guarantee that all production finishes within three days. If part is withheld, request the legal basis and any reasonably separable open part.
Clark County remains the right source for its arrest, incident, transport, and Clark-held property records. Ford or another contract jail becomes the source for physical release data when it held the person.
Clark Release Versus Custody
A person can drop out of a live jail view for several reasons. Release is only one. The booking may move to a different county, KDOC, federal custody, immigration custody, or a restricted system. Data corrections and name changes can also alter a result.
| Observed fact | Best next check |
|---|---|
| VINE reports release | Call the reporting jail and read the court order. |
| Meade has no current result | Ask Clark about Ford overflow or another transfer. |
| KASPER shows a prison location | Treat the county event as a transfer to state custody. |
| Court case remains active | Read bond conditions and the next docket event. |
The key question is narrow: did this agency release the person, and did another agency take custody? The physical jail record plus the court order gives a firmer answer than any missing online name.
For a Clark arrest released on bond, the best same-day set is the Meade or overflow jail entry, the Clark bond order, and any VINE event. The jail time proves physical processing. The order explains authority. The VINE notice adds a reported change, but it should remain supporting evidence rather than the sole conclusion.
